Advanced Training

Advance Your Knowledge

Knowing that human trafficking exists, what to look for, and what to do is just the beginning. After a survivor has been identified, then what?

We teach your organization how to firmly take your place on the continuum of care for human trafficking survivors. We know it takes a village to rebuild a life, and each organization has a unique role to participate in after-care along with their clients who are survivors. The experts of My Name My Voice are continuously educating ourselves on peer-reviewed research and curriculum. We can customize a program for your growing organization. Whatever your lane, MNMV experts want to help make sure you are the best at what you do. We tailor each training specifically to your unique needs based on the population you serve, the lane on that continuum you are on, and your current knowledge of the world of human trafficking.

The most valuable piece of our training is the lived experience expert. After your organization has completed our training, you will be able to say that your organization is survivor-informed.

We provide one free consultation to learn more about who you are and what you do so that we can build the best training package for your needs.

My Name My Voice provides short and long-term consultation packages to help you begin and/or grow your anti-trafficking program, outreach, wrap-around care, or drop-in services. Quality programatic training requires a hands-on approach. We have found that while there are good programatic trainings available, none provide answers on what to do in the realities of running the program. Healing isn’t by the book.

The most valuable piece of our training is the lived experience expert. After your organization has worked with MNMV, you will be able to say that you are survivor-led.

Our consultation packages are hands on and customized to your exact needs and budget.

Some things we’ve done in the past:

  • MNMV spent four months with a church to grow their outreach program and open a drop in center. MNMV was present 2-3 days per week on campus to teach and lead staff and volunteers through the process. At the end of our time together, the church had a thriving outreach program which included more clubs, a drop in center where women could shower, do laundry, bring their kids, get food, and just relax (pictured left), and a Bible study for the ladies from the clubs. The space was also offered to LEO to conduct interviews with victims. They have continued to grow since our time together and have remodeled the drop in center and added a playground for the children!

  • MNMV stepped in for six months to lead a social enterprise that hires survivors so that their CEO could take a sabbatical. This required our expert to fill in full time so that the CEO could take the time they needed to come back refreshed and rejuvenated. This included overseeing day-to-day operations for an e-commerce business which hires survivors and teaches them valuable employment skills, attending meetings with the board and other organizations, and speaking on behalf of the organization in public and in fundraising. At the end of our time together, the organization continued to grow by hiring new survivors for their e-commerce business and bringing forward plans for new buildings and future growth with a revived CEO!

Expand Your Reach

The best way to engage your community in the fight against human trafficking is to host a community event.

Community events bring together other experts in your local area in collaboration to provide a fact-filled, fun-filled event for all ages that raises awareness as to the human trafficking problem in your space in the world.

The events usually include a few speakers who touch on different topics related to human trafficking, local advocates’ booths, food and drinks, and games for all ages.

An event, like the Red Sand Event (pictured right), brings together law makers, first responders, human trafficking advocates, and the local community to raise awareness.

We can help you plan a successful community event or conference.

Speaking

Looking for a vetted, survivor-leader speaker for your event?

You can hire one of our experts to speak at your event or fundraiser. Our speakers have years of speaking experience and are able to tailor the speech to your specific needs. As a for-profit company, we are happy to help our non-profit friends raise money to continue to provide great care for survivors. Our first consultation is free so that we can learn your specific needs, audience, and goals for your event.

We support lived experience experts as they use their voice to educate others. If you are a survivor of trafficking and would like to take a public stage, we want to support that.
